The Nosara Beaches area of the Nicoya Peninsula consists of the town of Nosara and the beaches of Playa Guiones - well known surfers paradise, Playa Pelada - natural coves and a laid back vibe, Playa Ostional - famous nesting ground for the protected Ridley turtles, Playa Garza - one of the best in Costa Rica for world class sport fishing. Also there are many other hidden beaches and coves all within thirty minutes drive of Nosara.

These beaches are undoubtedly among the finest on the Nicoya Peninsula. Nosara has not been overdeveloped and has retained its natural beauty and magical feel.

Thirty years ago a master plan was developed and divided the land into lots which provide privacy from adjacent homes while retaining the fabulous views and proximity to the beaches.

It is hard to believe there are over two hundred homes in the planned community which is a model for others to follow. A private water supply, of which is the healthiest and most abundant in the country, services the properties. Electricity, telephone, internet access and satellite TV are also available to the residents of Nosara.

There is also a large contingent of foreign owners in the area represented by Americans, Canadians, Swiss, German, Italian, and Dutch residences.
